The media enjoys these shootings so much, they make so much money off of them and give the gunmen exactly what they want – publicity and to get their ‘statement’ out. This encourages more.

Is it reasonable to suspect the media pays these people? (and they probably give the money to a family member).

They’re always so quick to cover all the details and put the gunman’s last statement on display exactly the way he would have wanted, happily granting a last request to their ‘hero’.

Plus when they cover these stories you can tell they were prepared for it – I mean they don’t show even a little bit of shock or sadness. Nobody’s that callous and heartless.

Is there any hard evidence to support this theory?

Music Scene:

Nubian Natty music combines the Traditional groove of Dancehall
and Culture reggae rhythms with the urban taste of Cruzan and
Antigua style mix.

Nubian Natty was born on the island of Antigua located in the
British West Indies where most if not all her foundation came
from. Later on moving to st.Croix Virgin Island with her mother
and brother at the tender age of seven coming to the United
States! This was a dramatic change in her life that would lead
her to be so versatile and creative in order to adaot to a
different environment as St.Croix a U.S Teritory,which was much
smaller than Antigua. She fell in love with reading and,writing
Novelsand Poetry,she was told throughout her school years that
her writing and chanting to rap and reggae music.

No one knew of her singing or writing powers until she Exploded!
On the scene at her First Stage Show with her first single
“No Black Stone” at the Federicksted SandBar/Restaurant on
St.Croix VI,1997. During the past few years upon deciding to
do research work,she began to sing out in order to acquire
justice for the progressjion of women especially,single parent
women that is at a young age. Her style began to emerge from
her courage to take on this important mission.

Nubian Natty got her first recording deal with Groundbreaking
Records in 2006. This opportunity took her to California where
she embarked on a long-journey delivering an exciting performance
in SanFrancisco at the popular Independence Night Club where
she was stold the show!

Surprising audiences anywhere she performs. Her recent shows
in the Mountains at Tahoe,Squaw Valley California. Also at
Azkennaz Night Club. Due to her New! release “Nah go like me”
the contorversial Lp has her well known in California and Virgin
Islands areas. This Lp was released by Groundbreaking Records
New Years Day 2007.

For “Aneed” Midnite (read Vaughn Benjamin) has collaborated with GroundBreaking Records, However the long wait was worthwhile as we’re treated to great vocals and harmonies, solid to great tunes and appealing, all original riddims.

Vaughn Benjamin’s mesmerizing vocal delivery and great lyrical ability, combined with a very distinctive roots sound created by Donny Dread and Vaughn Benjamin himself (with Laurent “Tippy” Alfred playing guitar on the last track), keep you involved from beginning to end. Besides that this collection of tunes urges you to give the album another spin in order to enjoy (and explore) the music and lyrics further.

Compared to Midnite albums like e.g. “Rule The Time” and “Jah Grid”, “Aneed” has a complete different vibe, but that’s what makes Midnite / Vaugh Benjamin truly interesting and unique in today’s roots reggae scene… even if they’re not coming from Jamaica.
